For anyone with a screenshot, log or spec who wants Certyn to connect it to the project's issues and tests.
Your setup
- A customer's screenshot, a server log, a HAR file, or a PDF spec.
- Issues and test cases in Certyn that may be related.
- You use Ask Certyn in the web app.
Say this to Certyn
A customer sees this on checkout (screenshot and HAR attached). Is it the same bug as #41? If not, try it on staging.
Add files with + (Attach files) in the chat box, by dragging them onto the chat, or by pasting an image.
What Certyn does
- Reads the files with your message: images as pictures, a PDF as a document, text files (log, HAR, CSV, JSON, YAML, XML, Markdown) as text.
- Opens the records you mentioned with @ first.
- Compares: same page, same error, same steps?
- If you ask, tries the steps on the chat's Machine. Then it says if it is the old issue, or files a new one after a duplicate check.
@ mentions: type @ and pick an issue, a test case, a suite, a connection or an MCP server.
/ commands: type / in an empty chat box. The command fills the box with a request you can edit.
| Command | Asks for |
|---|---|
/run | Run a suite (pick it with @) |
/test | Run a test case |
/retest | Retest an issue |
/release-readiness | A go or no-go, with the blockers |
/report | Recent runs, failures and new issues |
/new-ticket | An issue drafted from this chat, shown before saving |
/help | What Certyn can do here |
What you get
- Answers about your own files, linked to issues, tests and runs.
- Files stay with the conversation for later messages. They are deleted with the chat.
Limits
- Files work in the web chat.
- Images: PNG, JPEG or WebP, 3 per message, made smaller to fit 5 MB. Documents: PDF, .txt, .log, .md, .csv, .json, .har, .xml, .yaml, 3 per message, 10 MB each. 15 MB for one message. For a big log or HAR, attach the part around the error.
- Certyn reads the file. It does not copy it to the Machine or into runs, or add it to an issue. For a file a test must use, put it in your repo or at a URL.
- Runs are not in the @ list. Paste the run's link.
