A coding task is a confirmed finding handed to a coding agent. The agent reads the finding and its evidence, works in your GitHub repository, and opens a pull request. You review it like any other.
Certyn never pushes to your base branch and never merges. The pull request is the handover.
Where to find it
When coding tasks are turned on for your workspace, Coding tasks appears in the top navigation, right after Findings. The page lists each finding you handed off, with the pull request it produced.
How it works
- A project admin connects a GitHub repository and a base branch on the Coding tasks page.
- You open a confirmed finding and send it to the coding agent.
- The agent works on GitHub and opens a pull request.
- You review and merge it as usual.
The coding agent today is GitHub Copilot's cloud coding agent. If you also add the Certyn MCP entry to the repository, the agent can read the run behind the finding: its transcript and screenshots.
A pull request is not a fix
A merged pull request is a change, not a confirmed fix. Retest the finding after the change ships, and close it with the reason Fixed once the evidence shows it.
