Connections let Certyn work with your tools: file issues where your team tracks work, answer in Slack, read production errors, run the suites you already have, and use other tools through MCP.
Connect a tool in two ways:
- In Ask Certyn, say connect Jira (or any tool below). Certyn opens a form in the chat. Tools that sign in on their own site send you there and back to the same conversation.
- On the Connections page.
Issue trackers
Certyn keeps the issues it finds, and can also file them in one tracker. When the tracker has more than one project, team or repository, you pick where issues go.
| Tool | How it connects | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Jira | A Jira site admin installs the Certyn app; then in Jira, open Apps → Certyn → Connect to Certyn and approve. Or use an API token (base URL, user email, token). | Issues filed in your Jira project. Mention @Certyn on a Jira issue to ask for a retest. |
| Linear | Connect Linear workspace signs in once for the whole workspace. Or use a personal API key. | Issues filed and updated by Certyn as its own app user. Mention @Certyn in Linear. |
| GitHub | Install the Certyn GitHub App and pick a repository. Or use a personal access token. | Issues in the repository, runs on pull requests and pushes (CI/CD), and pull requests from the coding agent. |
Slack
Add to Slack installs Certyn in your workspace. Mention @Certyn in a channel to ask about runs, issues and releases.
Sentry
Ask Certyn reads your production errors and links them to what it finds. You need a Sentry auth token (scopes project:read, event:read, org:read), your org slug and your project slug. To let Ask Certyn comment on Sentry issues, the token also needs a write scope, for example event:write.
With a Sentry internal integration and its webhook, new Sentry issues also become Certyn issues. The Connections page shows the webhook URL and the steps.
Test management
TestRail: the base URL, your user email and an API key. Then pick the suites to run; each becomes a Certyn process you can run, schedule or trigger from CI. For Zephyr Scale, Xray and Azure Test Plans, see Connect a Test Management Tool.
MCP servers
Connect any remote MCP server (docs, support tools, internal systems) by its URL. It signs in with OAuth, or with a token you paste in the form. Ask Certyn can then read and use its tools. It is told to ask you before it uses a tool that changes something, but no approval prompt enforces it. Turn off tools it must not use on the Connections page.
To use Certyn from Claude Code, Cursor, Claude or ChatGPT, see Connect via MCP.
